Wedgwood Jasperware Blue Oval Trinket Dish. Jasperware is a type of unglazed stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood. Stamped ‘Made in England’ and ‘69’ in the back outlining the trinket dish was crafted in 1969. This high-fired, unglazed stoneware has a smooth matte finish and delicate relief decoration. With no chips and some residual dirt, this piece is in fantastic condition. As a mass-produced piece of Jasperware known as Two Cupids with Tree and Dog, the motif shows two winged angels, a small tree, and a dog trotting along the base of the scene. This piece was likely dipped in Jasper.
